About Us
Lisa is a chartered town planner and urban designer with over 34 years’ experience in both the private sector and in Local Planning Authorities. From February 2010 Lisa set up Jackson Planning, her own planning and urban design consultancy, and has supported a range of private clients through the planning process.
She works with a wide range of developers, architects, landowners, and private individuals on a range of project scales including contextual analysis to inform everything from extensions to masterplanning major urban extensions. Her work is focused within the south of England from the Isles of Scilly to Sussex.
Lisa has extensive experience with heritage issues including preparing planning and listed building applications including liaison with heritage experts and conservation officers. She has direct experience with Historic England in relation to heritage impacts on scheduled ancient monuments and Grade 1 listed buildings working in tandem with heritage specialists.
Lisa has also appeared at Local Plan Examinations and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Examinations, she has been successful in securing site allocations including within Green Belt.
Lisa has an impressive track record with a 90% + sucess record, she has been responsible for both site promotion and coordinating and submitting planning applications. She has a number of recent strategic housing permissions by working with a collaborative design team approach.
Lisa is a member of the South West Creating Excellence Design Review Panel, and sits as a judge on the Housing Design Awards. She has also appeared as expert witness in the High Court.
Lisa was qualified as a registered assessor for the Code for Sustainable Homes but added to her practical sustainability skills and understanding by designing, procuring and project managing the development of a zero-carbon family home, in March 2013, this was the first certified passivHaus in Wiltshire. More recently Lisa has had success with large scale ground mounted solar and crematoria.
The recent relocation to South Devon will allow Lisa to expand her client range and project experience.
